CHAKWAL, Sept 19: Local Government Commission Punjab
ordered an inquiry against Tehsil Nazim and Tehsil
Municipal Officer Choa Saiden Shah for their
involvement in alleged corruption, nepotism and other
mall practices committed by them in the development
funds.  MPA Mrs. Maha Raja Tareen lodged a complaint
before the Secretary Local Government Punjab who is
also the chairman of Local Government Commission and
contended that Tehsil Nazim Choa Saiden Shah Malik
Hafeez-ur-Rehman with the collaboration of TMO Mian
Muhammad Asghar committed various irregularities and
corruption in the development funds and in this regard
an inquiry report of Deputy District Officer Revenue
Chakwal was also attached in which it was reported
that certain development projects which were in the
files but physically they were not existed in the
site.  The Chairman Local Government Commission
immediately admitted the petition and ordered an high
power inquiry committee who will start to probe into
the allegations leveled against Tehsil Nazim and TMO.
In the meantime TMO Choa Saiden Shah Mian Muhammad
Asghar left his charge and an other officer of TMA
Choa Saiden Shah Tariq Aziz assumed the charge an
acting TMO Choa Saiden Shah.  Mian Muhammad Asghar was
transferred some seven days ago and the Local
Government appointed an officer of Choa Saiden Shah
Mr. Ahmad Farooq TMO but on the behest of Tehsil Nazim
Choa Saiden Shah Mian Muhammad Asghar was reluctant to
relieve his charge.  Tehsil Nazim Choa Saiden Shah
welcome the appointed of an inquiry committee and
vowed to face this inquiry as his hands are neat and
clean and he had committed no corruption and rejected
the allegations and termed it politically motivated.

CHAKWAL, Sept 19: A man was killed while four other
received multiple injuries in three different
incidents on Friday.  50 years old Muhammad Ajaib was
rammed by a tractor in the farm field at Village Farid
Kassar in the area of Dhudial Police Station.  The
deceased Muhammad Ajaib hired a tractor and his
maternal nephew was driving the tractor in the farm
field and due to neglect of the driver, he was hit by
the tractor, resulting his instant death on the spot.
In the second incident three persons were seriously
injured when a speedy car hit their cart at
Chakwal-Rawalpindi road near by-pass crossing.
Muhammad Naeem Raza, Muhammad Yameen and 12 years old
Muhammad Nauman was shifted to District Headquarter
Hospital Chakwal.  In the third incident at mohallah
Sar Park ground while playing football the three
youngsters Saqleen, Zaheer and Pervaiz gave a sound
threshing to Nasir Ali and he was seriously injured
and was immediately shifted to District Headquarter
Hospital Chakwal.

CHAKWAL, Sept 19: Two drunkard were nabbed by Nila
Police Chakwal and a case of 11 article of Hadood
Ordinance was registered against them.  Akhter Mehmood
resident of Westrige Rawalpindi and Hassan Din
resident of Islamabad were making hue and cry and they
were taken into Police custody and examined in
District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal and it was
confirmed that they were drunked.

CHAKWAL, Sept  20: Senior Vice President of PMLQ and
Former Federal Minister Lieutenant  General ® Abadul
Majeed Malik has said that if the constitutional
package approved by Federal Cabinets would be rejected
by MMA, there is no danger of collapse of Federal and
Provincial Governments working very effectively as all
the Government in center and provinces enjoyed the
support of  majority and which is the basic of
democratic norms.  He was talking to the newsmen after
attending the reception of Sardar Aftab Akbar in the
honor of outgoing DSP Headquarter Ch: Hanif Ahmad at
Kallar Kahar rest house.  The State Minister for
Environment Major 짰 Tahir Iqbal, District Nazim
Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas, Tehsil Nazim Choa Saiden
Shah Malik Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Provincial parliamentary
secretaries Mr. Ejaz Hussain Farhat, Tanvir Aslam and
SSP Chakwal Ch: Muhammad Zaman were also present on
this occasion.  General Majeed Malik was of the view
that after the re-unification of five factions of
different Pakistan Muslim Leagues, the combined Muslim
League had become the biggest political force of the
country.  Replying to an other question he ruled out
any deal of Government with Benazir Bhutto and Mr.
Nawaz Sharif however the leaders of PMLN would be
welcomed in the combined Muslim League and whole PMLN
will be acceptable minus Nawaz Sharif.  He urged the
opposition that they must behave for the strengthening
in the democratic process in the country which is
revived after a great struggle.

CHAKWAL, Sept  20: The recruitment policy adopted by
the Police Department will continue like this, the
largely criticized Police culture will totally be
changed and Police Department would become people
friendly and the confidence of Police Department would
be restored.  This was stated by DIG / Commandant
Sihala Police Academy Mirza Muhammad Ali who was the
head of the board of recruiting 49 Police Constable of
District Chakwal, while talking to the newsmen on
Saturday at District Police Line Chakwal after taking
interview from the candidates.  SSP Chakwal Ch:
Muhammad Zaman Langrial and SP City Rawalpindi
Anat-Ullah Farooqi who was also the members of the
board were also present on this occasion.  More than
1500 applicants appeared in the written test and only
85 of them were successful and 49 will be selected
among these applicants.  DIG Mirza Muhammad Ali
further told that the recruitment will be made purely
on merit and no pressure in this regard will be
accepted.  Replying to an other question he was of the
view that the Police Order 2002 if fully implemented,
the Police culture will be totally changed, however
there is a restrained of funds and man power at
present and later on think will be improved.

CHAKWAL, Sept  20: Chakwal Police nabbed two drug
pushers and also apprehended illicit arms from two
other persons.  Dhudial Police recovered 30 bore
pistol from the accused Irfan Ahmad resident of Police
Station Chountra.  In an other operation Dhumman
Police arrested Muhammad Safdar resident of Village
Chappar and 110 grams chares from him.  In the 3rd
incident Kallar Kahar Police nabbed Iftikhar Ahmad
resident of Village Buchal Kalan and 32 bore revolver
was recovered from him, while Saddar Police Chakwal
during its petrol nabbed Muhammad Nawaz resident of
Village Mureed and 110 grams chares was recovered from
him.  Police has registered separate cases against the
accused and sent them in the judicial lock up.
