CHAKWAL, Sept  21: State minister for environment
Tahir Iqbal said on Sunday that now the ball is in the
court of MMA as Government has shown flexibility
regarding the disputed clauses of LFO and now it is
upto the MMA that they should accept this
constitutional package and if it was rejected then
this constitutional package would not be brought
before the parliament. He was addressing a press
conference at his residence and president of PMLQ
tehsil Chakwal Sufi Mushtaq Bhatti and Tehsil Kisan
councler Malik Azhar Awan were also present on this
occasion. The minister was of the view that these
people who are representing the combined opposition
sat with late Gen. Zia ul Haq and these political
people had accepted uniform of Gen. Zia ul Haq for 10
years and now Gen. Pervez Musharaf assured the nation
and the legislators that he would leave the office of
the chief of army staff in appropriate time, therefore
the opposition will have to wait for one and half year
and which is not very long time for the sake of
promotion of democratic institution in the country.
The minister replying to another question told that
the American administration used such type of language
and called president of Pakistan as Musharaf when he
took over the control from the civil government after
12th October 1999 but now after the revival of
democratic process in Pakistan, these American are
calling Gen. Pervez Musharaf as Mr. Musharaf the
president of Pakistan and it is a significant change
of American policy. The minister further told that
there is no danger of Jamali’s Government as the prime
minister is commanding majority in the parliament and
the day to day proceeding of national assembly and
sanait are progressing smoothly. Replying to another
question the minister told that the American
Government sanctioned an amount of 20 Million dollars
for the betterment of environment in the barani areas
and an handsome amount from it will be spent in
district Chakwal.

CHAKWAL, Sept  21: A young man committed suicite at
village at village Khokhar Bala some 35 KM from here
on Sunday. The deceased Muhammad Shakeel had a
domestic problem with his family and he took poisnous
tablets, resulting his instatnt death. The deceased
was a married person and was father of minor girl and
by profession he was driver. In the meantime a young
man was seriously injured when a pet bull dog was
thrown on him by his opponents at villag Jhaley in the
area of Dhudial police some 20 KM from here on Sunday.
Muhammad Iqbal armed was swerely bitten by the dog and
he was shifted to DHQ Hospital Chakwal. The accused
Jhangir Ahmad, Nasir Ahmad and Saqib Mahmood had an
old enmity with Muhammad Iqbal. Dhudial police
registered a case against the accused and started
investigation.

from Karachi Qari Gul Rehman will address at the meet
the press programme of Chakwal Press Club on 22nd
September. He will talk about the present policital
situation of country regarding the dialogue on LFO.
