Applications for Executive Committee Members
This is for the information of all the community members that tenure of the present Executive Committee Members is expiring , to fill the vacant positions applications from interested community members are here by invited.
Eligibility criteria is given below.
Who are Pakistani and holds NZ Citizenship or PR, with good reputation having no criminal back ground. They should be honest, respected and recognized member of community and age over 18 years.
It is further expected that people who are devoted volunteer, with friendly attitude, love to work with team spirit , social and broad mind and may spare some time as and when required for common community cause must come forward to serve your community, to the community who belong to your lovely motherland PAKISTAN.
Selection criteria is as mentioned below:
1- Election of the Executive Committee Members will be conducted in the Special General Meeting to be announced along with time, date and venue by the end of this month.
2-.Only current PANZ members will be eligible to participate in election and cast vote or show his/her hand for support to candidate of their choice. Those are interested to vote must enrol and get membership as soon as possible.
3-To elect members we can go for the option of show of hand in support of the candidates or to make it more transparent we can go for ballot system as well.
4- Eligible members who will take part in election process will get allocated seats in front rows in the hall and they have to sit there during election process. Other community people may come and watch the election process sitting at some distance, hopefully their presence will not create any disturbance during the election process.
5-Election will not be conducted in case at leat one third quorum of the eligible panz members will not attend the SGM.
6-Elected members will take oath in the same meeting.

Now as it has been officially announced about executive ellections, it will be interesting to see the candidates and their credibility for the position. Political wrestling has been started. For some people it is "FINGER LICKING GOOD" and for some people politics on community level is just a "FUNNY FARM".

Could you please tell us current membership of PANZ , what is the last date for renewal of membership, or what is the closing date for new members
Please Panz stop this drama here At the moment its not possible for u guys to motivate people to work voluntarily so how u will gather them for voting we dont need that at all .Please i would request u to postpone all this at least for the time being .

As executives elections are on its way, according to PANZ web site we have four contenders , contesting for this elections, thought community want to know about these contender, and hope other will do the same to introduce themself , so new comer of community will able to know , who will be leading us Below mentions article was on Sohni Dharti couple of years ago Dear Friends, I am replying to Mr Saeed Nasir's request. As far as I am concerned I have been in New Zealand for the last fifteen years and am one of the founder members of the defunct PANZ. The creation of the Association was honest and sincere and I left the PANZ completely after alot of leg pulling by some selfish people. I had collected by my personal efforts more tha 13,000 dollars in the PANZ account in 1998. I was very lucky that I had a treasurer like Mohammad Ali Meemee who was extremely honest and we collected money by mere hard work. I was granted a Queens Service medal for public service and not community service as a a chairman of Board of Trustees for Pakurnga School a member of two charity groups in Pakuranga and the electortae vice chairman of a poilitical party. Pakistan Association was my contribution to Pakistan community and I am proud of being honest and sincere. I worked for PIA from 1967 to 1987 and retired as a Regional Manager. I was educated at Punjab University and after a master's degree in 1966 I joined as a lecturer and then joined PIA. I had very important assignments like managing the Parliament of Pakistan's office of PIA for threeyears.Travelling to foreign countries . Travelled to China as leader of a delegation consisting of all the US ambassadors and their wives posted in middle East and Asia in 1978.Travelled with prime Minister and President of Pakistan etc. I was the ICP of the Islamic foreign Ministers conference in Islamabad in 1979 and the President of Pakistan personaly appreciated my services being incharge of the operations control. These are the few achievements I am proud of and in New Zealand my office provides free passport and visa service to all pakistanies during the last fifteen years and nobody can deny that but there has never been a word of appreciation from anybody. We are here only to criticise and plot aginst each other. Jumshshed ul Hassan is long time friend of community he went trough a lot of ups and downs of community pressure, it impressed Sohni Dharti, when he took over White Sawan Islamic centre as a caretaker, those days this Islamic centre was going through enormous pressure, one stage it was on brink of repossession, it was Mr Hussan who came to rescue it and payed a generous amount from his pocket to save this Islamic centre and not only this, he made this building live able by putting toilet and bath facilities, He is still a caretaker of this centre and pay more then his fair share to keep this centre going, Sohni Dharti believe Mr Hussan would be an asset to community , who can and will bring peace and harmony of co existence

Syed Waqar Ali Sohni Dharti don’t know much about Syed Waqar Ali, All we know that he helped PANZ ,in time of Zef, when PANZ was so down under the debt of more then $12000, it was Mr Waqar who payed bulk amount to PANZ to resort its integrity,
This is the message pasted on Sohni Dharti 23/05/2002.It is little intro Mr Khan, for those who wants to know about Mr Khan Another thing Sohni Dharti would like to mention that he was awarded the highest community award of 2001of Sohni Dharti . there are Four people in community, Mohammad Azeem , in 1998 , Tauqir Khan,and 2001 , Mateen Saddiqi, in 2002 and Ch Yaqoob Taquir Khan in my eyes I know Mr Khan from last 14 years Mr Khan has reputation in community as stretcher but in my personal belief it is not true. 3 years ago he was honoured by Queen award of community services People thought that was because long term leadership Pakistani community which is not true actually this started from Pakoraga high school and I am eye witness of this. Those days me and my friend use to Halal pie making business Mr khan invite us to a fun fair in that school to sell our pies there I came to know that Mr khan is chairman of that school trust and he main organiser of that fun fair from next to us it was Mr khans stall he and his wife selling Pakistani dish fresh PAKORA every customer who stand by him asking what is this Mr Khan explain that it is very papular Pakistani dish and would not let any one go with out tasting one At the end he donated all his earning to school . He and his wife pledge their self to build new room for this school and they DID it (good on you Mr Khan) .When Mr khan told me about this medal I said Queen did not give it to you errand it . Now Mr Khan is contesting for PANZ election as a Executive .You might have already seen his comments in Sohni Dharti

BILLA GEE if community is so much interested in FIVE exectives, so then why not election commissoin can make any amendment in PANZ constitution.
Who is binding their hands.election commission should be free and act according to the wishes of welllwishers like you people.
you can call an emergengy meeting or can conduct poll.
if sohni dharti is sincere they can force election commission to do that amendment.

Dear 213042. It is not as simple as you are thinking , election commission is bond by constitution, any amendment PANZ do in this SGM , will include in constitution for next tenure or till next SGM

yes, we are saying same thing.there should be an amendment through PANZ.(if they want)and it go through the next term.if some people are against the amendment they can ask for a change election commission in next tenure.

Exec Talking with Jamshaid ul Hussan moulana Saleem said that Nadeem is only trustee of Al Hijaz. in what capacity he says that white Sawn Islamic centre money can be spend on Jinnah hall cum Masjid , molana Saleem said we have bought this place to run Islamic centre there is no place for Jinnah Hall or Pakistan hall in Al Hijaz trust In answering to question from Sohni Dharti , Mr. Hussan, who is owner of this building said Al Hijaz trust is a failed trust , which couldn't run it properly , since I have taken over the trust charge, its own trustees who used to pay their contributions through automatic payments have stooped . Why? Because they don’t have any interest running it , Mr. Hussan said I am suffering from last 3 years paying more then my fair share , Now these trustees, who once want auction this building , now want me to transfer to same people . Mr. Hussan said I will not give this building to same people who were failures in past , he said we need new people in trust with enthusiasm to complete it as Islamic centre otherwise I will give it to Pakistani community to fulfilled their dream of Jinnah hall cum Masjid
its very clear that according to our culture we can have a mosque in jinnah hall.but its hard to have a jinnah hall in mosque its common sense.if some wise people sit together they can easily sort it out how to draw a map for jinnah hall in which we can also have a mosque.

Election More then 200 Pakistanis came to hall to use most powerful tool of democracy VOTE . Competition was tough and fight was close , hard work of convincing prevailed Zeb Khan took the lead by taking 217 vote Jamshaid ul Hussan took 205 vote Nadeem Ashraf took 177 vote Waqar Ali was just 2 vote behind 175 Taquir khan took 150 vote Whole election process was smooth as silk , apart from it should have been SGM cum election where we spoused to be discussing amendments in constitution , when Sohni Dharti asked this question to PANZ president, he said it was responsibility of election commission to tell the public about procedure of election. And agendas of SGM'. Mr. president said no worry we are having AGM next month , we can include these suggestions our AGM Hearty congregations from Sohni Dharti to all contenders , because its them who brought PANZ membership up to more then 700 In phone conversation Mr. Bhatti former VP and Gs of PANZ congratulated all winning personalities and hoped that new team of executives will brings new ideas and keep the community united Celebrating his win Nadeem Ashraf shouted a dinner partly in honour of his supporter , addressing his supporters Mr.Nadeen said he is humble by public decision, he said " I will do more then my best for Jinnah hall and INSHALLAH , if not much but I will try to lay down the foundation for Jinnah HALL " Scrutinized by notables of Pakistanis community ,J Iqbal, reporter of Sohni Dharti was told that Sohni Dharti should not put any classified in formations on net which can caused embracement to our community in front of other communities
