CHAKWAL November 21: The record of all the registered affectees of
earthquake victim at tent village Chakwal is to be computerized and identity
card of tent village would be issued to them and up date now there are 1782
affectees were registered. This was stated by incharge tent village AC (UT)
Yahya Khan while briefing the delegation of Mehmood Mariam trust who visited
the tent village on Monday and it was led by its chairman Brig. (R) Khawaja
Tariq Mehmood and the delegation was comprising Mrs. Parveen Khalid, Mrs.
Rehana Tariq, member district council Chakwal Mrs. Rehana Babar Saleem and
Malik Muhammad Babar Cheena. Brig. Tariq presented a check of Rupees 1 lac
for tent village to the incharge tent village. The incharge Yahya Khan
further told that a school from Nursery to 9th Class has been established
for 350 students of tent village, while a vocational school was also
functioning for women and chief Minister Punjab Ch. Pervaiz Ellahi during
his visit to tent village announced one hundred sewing machines. The
incharge further told that rupees 1 million Eidee announced by Chief
Minister Punjab was in the pipeline and as soon as this would be received it
would be disbursed among the affectees immediately. The affectees on this
occasion told the delegation that the need of the hour is the pocket money
for the affectees as it is required for their day to day requirement and the
quality of the food should be improved and overall the affectees vocally
declared that they were satisfied with the arrangements made by the district
Government at tent village. Brig. Kh. Tariq Mehmood while talking to the
affectees was confident that the success of recent donors conference would
ensure the rehabilitation of the affectees and every Pakistani should have
to contribute for this disaster on humanitarian grounds.
