Eid-ul-Fitr being marked with simpli pakistan


Eid-ul-Fitr being marked with solemnity and simplicity to show solidarity with the survivors of the Oct 8 earthquake.

Eid prayers congregations were held at mosques and Eidgahs throughout the country and special prayers were offered after Eid prayers for the victims of the earthquake.

In Islamabad Eid congregations were held at several mosques and Eidgahs; the largest congregation was held at Faisal Mosque of the capital. Several federal ministers, foreign diplomats and other dignitaries observed Eid prayers at Faisal Mosque.

Security was tightened in the capital with deployment of over 8000 policemen at mosques and other prayer places.

In Karachi major Eid prayers congregation was held at Bagh-e-Jinnah (Polo Ground). Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Chief Minister of Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim, provincial ministers and diplomats of various Muslim countries observed Eid prayers at Bagh-e-Jinnah.
