CHAKWAL AUGUST, 25. The journalist community of
Chakwal city hoisted black flag at the building of
Chakwal press club on Sunday and they wore black bands
on their shoulders to mark solidarity with the
Pindadan Khan based journalist Raja Ejaz Ahmad who was
brutally murdered some six days ago but the police is
reluctant to trace out the killers of the journalists.
After black flag hoisting ceremony a meeting was held
under the chairmanship of president of Divisional
Union of Journalist Rawalpindi Kh. Baber Saleem and a
resolution was adopted unanimously in which it was
demanded that the killer of Raja Ejaz Ahmad should be
arrested forth with. On this occasion senior vice
chairman Fakhar Mirza, vice chairman Muhammad Khan
Aaqil, Tahir Farooqi, Arshad Nazir, Murtaza Anjum
Malik, and Kh. Baber Saleem Mahmood paid rich tribute
to Raja Ejaz Ahmad for his excellent services of
journalism. It was decided that the hunger strike camp
will be establish on 27th August if the killer of Raja
Ejaz Ahmad was not apprehended. The two hours hunger
strike will continue each day till the arrest of
killer of Raja Ejaz Ahmad. The journalist community of
Rawalpindi division will also be invited to attend
this hunger strike camp.

CHAKWAL AUGUST, 25. The 12 youngsters armed with
hockey’s and daggers attacked on a newspaper agency at
Talagang road on Sunday and they attacked 4 persons
present at the agency resulting multiple injuries two
of them. Mubashar Ali the Son of local union council
nazim came to the news agency in the morning and he
tried to get newspaper without paying the money and on
this occasion when the proprietor Shaukat Mehmood
refused to oblige him, he got infuriated and he
threatened of dire consequences but the matter was
settled by the people who were present on that
occasion. After two hours Mubashar Ali alongwith Tayeb
Ali, Turab Ali, Shafqat Mahmood, Azhar Abbas, Wasiq
Ali alongwith six other persons armed with hockies and
daggers attacked on the news agency. All of them gave
a sound threshing to the four people present on the
news agency. The arms of Sub. ( R) Muhammad Gulzar and
a hocker Haji Muhammad Rafique were fractured and they
were shifted to district headquarter hospital Chakwal.
The matter was reported to city police station Chakwal
however no case has been registered yet as police is
waiting for the medial report.
