CHAKWAL AUG 30: The protest hunger strike camp at
Chakwal press club on Friday entered in a third day
and more than 30 journalists from the six press clubs
of District Chakwal attended the camp. The journalists
from Mulhal Mughlan, Choa Saiden Shah, Wanhar,
Talagang, Dhudial, and Chakwal press clubs wore black
band on their shoulder and demanded immediate arrest
of the killer of Pindadan Khan based journalist Raja
Ejaz Ahmad as police was failed to trace out the
accused after eleven days have been passed. Those who
participated in the camp were Younas Awan, Aamir
Masood Chuadhary, Zulifqar Mir, Ch. Ejaz Hussain,
Bashir Hassan, Saadat Nadeem, Arshad Nazeer, Murtaza
Anjum, Syed Tala Farooq, Malik Nasir Qamar, Chairman
Press club Fahim Akthar Butt, president Divisional
union of journalist Kh. Baber Saleem, Tahir Farooqi,
Muhammad Khan Aaqil, Tariq Aziz Malik, Rashid Asmi,
Raja Sajjad, Ayaz Awan, Asif Farooqi, Ishaq Hasrat,
Arshad Abbasi, Fakhar Mehmood Mirza, Mirza Shakeel ur
Rehman, Jamil Mughal, and Kamal Hassan. District Nazim
Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas Khan alongwith Nazimeem
Qurban Hasnain Shah, Amir Butt Advocate, Raja Aamir
Shahzad, Ch. Khan Bahadur, Naib Nazim Arshad Butt and
ex president District Bar Chakwal Malik Nisar visited
the camp and made solidarity with the journalist
community. Speaking on this occasion president DUJ Kh.
Baber Saleem vowed to continue the protest till the
arrest of the killer of Raja Ejaz Ahmad. District
Nazim Sardar Ghulam Abbas assured the journalist
community that their unrest and demand of the killers
is very genuine and he will talk to the high officials
of the Punjab Govt. and government will made all out
efforts to trace out the killer of Raja Ejaz Ahmad.

CHAKWAL AUG 30: Polio days will be observed from 2 to
4th September at district Chakwal and only four cases
have been detected in Punjab province however no polio
case was reported in District Chakwal since 1999. EDO
Health district Chakwal Dr. Muhammad Akram Zahid told
the newsmen on Friday that one 168348 minor children
will be vaccinated during this anti polio drive and
more than 366 teams were constituted  who will ensured
to go door to door to provided polio drops to the
children upto the age of 6 years.

CHAKWAL AUG 30: District Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam
Abbas will meet the opposition member of District
Assembly Chakwal in the next few days to redress their
greviences regarding their development schemes. The
opposition members walked out from the last session of
District Councial Chakwal and they protested that
their development schemes that were assured by the
District Govt, were not included in the annual
development programme. The leader of the opposition
Maj. (R ) Abarar Hussain Shah had asked the district
Nazim to have a meeting with the opposition member as
some vested interest people did not want
reconciliation of opposition member with treasury
benches. This important meeting will expected to be on
2nd September.
